The JSB Development team, with Jim Backer's leadership, is active in numerous civic, service and charitable organizations, including the SCV Education Foundation of which Jim is President and the Foundation for Children's Dental Health. They also participate in several business and trade associations such as the SCV Chamber of Commerce, where Jim was 2014 Chairman of the Board and as a Board member of SCV Economic Development Corporation. As long time residents of the area, they are active in local schools and youth sports programs.
