Steven Gonzalez

Development Partner

At Vista Canyon, Steven is the Land Development Site Superintendent and Project Manager. He’s responsible for controlling budgets, negotiating contracts, managing construction activities, solving problems, interfacing with all local agencies and providing day-to-day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget.

A team player, Steven holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and utility agencies, resulting in successful construction experiences. With 13 years’ experience in Construction Management & Civil Engineering, Steven has
overseen all phases of multi-million-dollar construction projects, including Land Development for master plan communities, parks, restaurants, grocery, environmental remediation, and retail projects for both public and private sector clients.

Steven also has a broad background in construction contract scenarios, including design- build, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), cost plus fixed fee, and hard bid. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with homebuilders such as Tri-Mark Pacific Homes, S&S Homes, J.P. Eliopulos Enterprises, & D.R. Horton. In addition, working with
public agencies such as the South Coast Air Quality Management District, Department of Toxic Substances Control, Ventura County Flood Control, Riverside County, Los Angeles County, Cal-Trans and numerous Cities throughout Southern California.
